Activity Lesson #1:
Would You Rather...?
In this activity, you will choose one of the following activities that you would rather do shown in the box below and type your opinion in one sentence on Padlet.
Directions:
1. Follow the sentence frame below the images to state your opinion. You must include your opinion and one reason why you chose that.
2. Click this Padlet link to type your one-sentence opinion.
3. After you click the link, you will see two columns: an airplane and a boat. Click the plus (+) sign under whichever you prefer to type and share your opinion.
4. Once you typed and shared your opinion, read what your classmates chose and why they chose it. Feel free to give their opinion a thumbs up!
Activity Lesson #2:
The Three Little Pigs
Directions:
1. In this activity, you will first read The Three Little Pigs. Go to your local public library to borrow this book, or click the video on the right side to follow along with the read-aloud.
2. After reading or listening to The Three Little Pigs, think about what material you would use to build your house that will prevent the wolf from destroying it!
(Hint: think about what other buildings around the world are made out of. Clay, rocks, etc.)
3. Click the question to share your opinion and explain why you chose that material:
Activity Lesson #3:
Voice Your Opinion!
This last activity of opinion writing will help you practice stating your opinion out loud. You will record yourself on Flipgrid to share your opinion with your classmates. You will also be able to see each others' videos and listen to what everyone's opinions are. When listening to your classmates' opinions, you will notice that everyone's opinions are different.
Remember: It's important to listen to what others have to say and to respect their opinion!
The topic of your opinion will be "inclusion." What is inclusion? Inclusion is making every single person feel welcome and included in an environment no matter what their differences are.
