Choice Boards are used for you to learn and explore independently. You may select and complete any or all of the choices below to help you practice writing opinion!

Writing Prompts

Do you want/need to practice with writing opinions in complete sentences? Click here to view additional prompts and start restating your opinion and providing reasons to support your opinion!

Personal Journal

In your own personal journal, write about your opinion on any topic that you strongly believe in. You may use the Hamburger template on the Graphic Organizer Activity section to help you structure your writing.

Watch and Write

Watch a video on Youtube about any sea creature that interests you. After watching a short video about a sea creature of your choice, email me your opinion about that sea creature!

In the email, include:

1. The sea creature you learned about

2. If you like or dislike the sea creature

3. Provide 3-4 reasons to why you like or dislike the sea creature

4. Restate your opinion

Poetry

Write an opinion about your favorite food. Provide 3-5 reasons why it is your favorite food. For your writing to be considered as poetry, make sure the end of each sentence rhymes!
